ACCESSFM - 26/04/19 Kayode Adewale ACCESS FM is type of technique that is used to identify the requirements of products and the importance of the existing products having these features. We will be using it this technique to judge the RGTS Vice, the Black and Decker worktop and any other components or devices that will be implemented in this project. In additional benefit of using ACCESS FM is that it will allow the operator to know where the issues are within the device and will therefore allow room for improvement so that the operator can make the product at a higher quality.

21/05/19 - Lesson Evaluation - Machine Vice and RGTS Vice comparison & analysis  In this lesson I need to assess the current vice, that being RGTS vice and compare it to an ordinary machine vice. I would need to see how doing research and investigations can help me find the solution to my product requirements by meeting these requirements this will allow me to address the solutions.  A  machine vice  is a clamping device used to hold a workpiece securely when operating a  machine  tool, such as a drill press or milling  machine after doing an in depth analysis of the machine vice I will need to compare this vice to the RGTS Vice. This is used in a variety of engineering projects as a way to make sure that components are manufactured accurately. ACCESSFM - Machine vice Aesthetics - Regarding the aesthetics of machine vice it looks fairly appealing to the customer as the blue and the silver fit together nicely. Cost - The machine vice normally retails at £130 which

16/05/19 - P1 Research In this lesson I will applying the ACCESS FM to critique the design of RGTS Vice, carry out further research on vices whilst keeping a record of the vices and there features that I could potentially apply to my final project so that I meet the product requirements. Lastly I will need to do some more in depth research on products that will allow for tilting, rotating and be locked in any required position so that it be mobile on the Black and Decker workmate. In addition to this I will also be doing further research on devices that allow for tilting and rotating. RGTS Vice Aesthetics: The appearance of the vice is very basic but yet appealing to the customer eye. Furthermore due to its curved edges it has a slick and smart design to it that will gain the attention of the customer despite the fact that it has a dull colour. One improvement that could be is to change the colour choice. Cost: The cost of the vice is relatively cheap as it retails at £30.

16/05/19 - Lesson Evaluation - Machine Vice In todays lesson we will be investigating we will further need to discuss a machine vice. To go into more detail we will need to compare its features to an ordinary vice, identify how the vices are different and how these benefit the vices individually with the operators requirements and lastly evaluate the design of these vices using the applied method ACCESSFM.
